Christina Perri Plus Social Media Equal Fame

Social Media ManagementOnly a couple of weeks ago, Christina Perri was serving coffee at Melrose Place Cafe in Los Angeles California, wondering when she’d get her big break. Thank to the speed of Social Media, Word Of Mouth… Today, she’s busy fielding media requests and answering stacks of fan mail.

It all started when her close friend (Keltie Colleen, a Radio City Rockette), handed Christina’s demo toStacey Tookey, choreographer for the hit show – So You Think You Can Dance. Perri’s song Jar Of Hearts was featured on the June 30 show. The following morning, Christina topped Google Trends search matrix, followed by the other top Social Media sites around the Internet.

Making Some Changes

Small Business Guy Thinking Wheres MikeI know, I keep disappearing, I’m really here, you just can’t see me. :)

I’m working on the back in of my site, and setting it up with some new things for you guys. You might have noticed the heading changed slightly, and I’m still working on it. And you’ll be seeing more changes in other places, over the next week or so.

The reasons for this is, more and more small businesses are asking me to set up and manage their Internet and Social Media presence, on Twitter, Facebook and some of the other social media spaces.

And, I’m also working on a Step by Step Video Trainings, for my fellow Small Business Owners. Most of which will be on, focused on marketing and social media to get more customers and keep the ones they already have. 5 Things To Have A True Friends List On Facebook

FacebookI was ask the other day, why don’t I have a ton of friends on Facebook like they do? I told them I keep my friends list down to the people I really do want to stay friends with, this includes family members, old school friends, and a few marketers I have an actual relationship with, I’ve decided to remove friends based on the following five criteria.

If the people are not known to me (i.e., people I don’t really know, have never met, or haven’t some kind of personal relationship with), I remove them, or never friend them using the following criteria:

Some Buzz About Google Buzz

Google BuzzI don’t normally write about something I haven’t even tried yet, but I keep looking at that little Google Buzz icon, every time I login to my Gmail account. It keep tempting me to click on it, but after hearing some of the not so good buzz, I still have not clicked on that little icon.

Here are just a few of the stories I have ran across:

March 26 (Bloomberg) — Federal antitrust authorities should investigate whether Google Inc.’s Buzz social-network service has compromised users’ privacy, U.S. lawmakers said in a letter.
