What To Look For In Products To Sell

This week I’m doing a little late spring cleaning of my products, I’m looking at what I have now. . .

. . . and what I can add or cut from the mix, but I wanted something to use as a guide.

So, I sit down and did a little brain storming and came up with 3 categories, I think most Products or Services fall into.

Take a look and see if your products fall into one of these categories, and you may find out, you need to do a little spring cleaning of your own. And get out and find some new products, that fall into the “Best Product” category.

Best Products

  • There is a Great Want for the Product
  • It’s Easy to Understand
  • It’s Easy to Use
  • They’re Considered a Value
  • They only need a Simple Sales Process
  • Have Easy Automatic Distribution
  • Create a Loyal Network of Users
  • Have Return Purchases or Recurring Payments

Mediocre Products

  • At Best it’s a Need
  • Takes a Lengthy Sales Process
  • Must Convince People to Buy It
  • You Need to Discount them
  • Have No Real Value
  • Need Lots of Instruction or Training
  • Are Hard to Use
  • Have a Cheap Feel or Look
  • Spotty Distribution
  • Have Increased Returns
  • Need Lots of Support
  • One Time Sales
  • Lack User Loyalty

Worst Products

  • There’s No Real Need
  • Must Lie Cheat, Just to Make a Sale
  • Users Feel Ripped Off
  • You Need to be a Rocket Scientist to use it
  • Easily Broken
  • Nightmare Distribution
  • One Time Sale
  • Need a Strict No Return Policy
  • High User Return
  • Multiple Support Calls

If you can think of some more, I would like to here from you… please leave a comment below :)

Until next time,
