About 42% of shoppers turn to the web for research about the products they are looking to purchase. I find myself doing a quick search in a store with my mobile phone before buying anything of a technical nature these days, I will do a search like “problems with Product Name”, this will sometimes bring up recalls, comparisons, reviews, ratings, along with other valuable information about the product. Using this information I can either purchase the product in front of me, or if a better product has shown up in my search, find and purchase it.
Today 62% of shoppers will search for coupons, or deals online before leaving to do half of their shopping trips.
